Shipping / Instructions

How to pack and ship your Corvette headlights for the lens replacement service.

Shipping materials

  • Lowes HEAVY DUTY MEDIUM size box — 18" × 18" × 16"
  • Roll of bubble wrap
  • Shipping tape
  • Grocery store paper bags / void fill — do not use packing peanuts
01

Remove the three metal mounting studs on the bottom of each light. Very important to prevent damage to the housing when shipping. If your lights have different quantities of shims on these mounts, take note of which stud goes where.

02

Remove the harness from each headlight unless you are adding halos. To do this, remove the metal clip under the DRL bulb holding the wire in place, unclip the harness from the headlight, then twist and remove the DRL bulb.

03

Wrap both headlights in a decent amount of bubble wrap on all sides. They should fit perfectly in the box — if not, you've used too much or too little.

04

Place the first headlight in the box lens side up.

05

Place the second headlight in the box lens side down, opposite the other light — like a pair of shoes in a shoebox.

06

The headlights should be fitted in place with no room to move. If there's substantial space on the sides, stuff with material so the lights can't shift.

07

The box should be fitted so the lights don't move around — but not completely overstuffed.

08

Tape the box up well and ship via UPS or USPS. We recommend $900 of insurance on each set of lights, just in case.

If you fail to use enough void fill or stuffing, your projector clips could break and will need to be replaced — $19 per clip (each headlight has 3 clips).
